The interviews were based on an interview guide concerned with the quality of interaction and the nature of the literary experience. In a more complex network infrastructure, this problem could be overcome by delegating ARP requests to the sensing nodes. The interactive books enable the controller to select floating sentences from an ocean of words, and move them toward a digital “sheet of paper” to produce a poem. While our approach was zero install, it was not zero setup. The interface is a multimedia that integrates sound, images, text and interaction in feedback-loops.
